MG Counseling Services, Inc., founded in 1983, works in cooperation with the legal system to provide domestic violence, alcohol and drug and sexual addiction inventories, education and counseling services to defendants and offenders with chemical, sexual and domestic violence-related charges. We serve both the adolescent and adult populations.
Our individual inventories provide a concise, objective profile of the defendant, similar to a Pre-Sentencing Investigation. MG Counseling's 7-week Alternative Sentencing Program (ASP) is an education/assessment/intervention course designed to impact the client about the serious consequences of drinking and driving.
Our FVIP (Family Violence Intervention Program) confronts and assists individual clients who have been involved in any form of domestic violence charges requiring intervention. MG Counseling also offers a comprehensive Sexual Compulsivity Group, dealing with sexual addiction in clients arrested for indecent exposure, sexual battery, child molestation (isolated cases only) and rape (parolees only).
We are sensitive to the documentation needs of the court system, so all of our services include written documentation. All inventories and ASP reports contain clinical opinions and recommendations for clients, when appropriate.
Our goal is to have a positive effect on the legal system by reducing recidivism for defendants and offenders with alcohol, drug, sexual and domestic violence-related crimes.
Certified Addiction Counselors since 1983.
